Music has been a part of Joseph’s life for a long time. He picked up the baritone horn in sixth grade, and later transitioned to the trombone to improve his jazz exposure (but stuck with the baritone when marching). He started singing in musical theater in ninth grade, loved it, and joined his school’s a cappella group shortly thereafter. After getting the chance to chew on a whole lot of grammar in his four years of Latin classes, Joseph decided that engineering was best left to the engineers, exited his high school’s STEM program, and started looking at linguistics on his own. Without a single academic regret to this day, Joseph is thriving at William & Mary, especially since joining the Gents!
